Tad’s Construction: a contractor site built around proof and estimates

A licensed general contractor needed a site that answers the two questions every homeowner asks first — are you licensed, and what will this cost — before anyone picks up the phone.

The problem

What this needed to solve

Contractor websites usually fail in the same place: a homeowner cannot tell a licensed contractor from an unlicensed one, and cannot tell whether the contractor does the specific work they need. Both questions get answered on the phone, which wastes the contractor’s time on calls that were never going to convert.

Tad’s Construction holds three CSLB classifications and covers an unusually wide scope — framing, concrete, site work, pools, room additions, retaining walls, interior remodels and government work. That breadth is an asset, but only if a visitor can find their own project in it within a few seconds.

What the build includes

Structure and content built so credentials and scope are visible before any scrolling decision is required.

  • Licence credentials surfaced in the hero rather than buried on an About page — CSLB licence number and classifications are visible immediately
  • Services organised by part of the property, so visitors self-select instead of reading a capability list
  • A project gallery showing completed work across the trades the business actually covers
  • A dedicated section for government and agency construction services, which has a different buyer and a different process
  • An estimate request flow that asks for address, scope and photos up front
  • Structured data describing the business, its services and its licence credentials
  • Location pages for the surrounding service area
Technology

What it runs on

Confirmed by inspecting the live site.

  • Static HTML and CSS — no CMS dependency on the critical path; pages render without waiting on a database
  • JSON-LD structured data — the business, its service catalogue and its CSLB credential are described in machine-readable form
  • Deferred third-party loading — analytics and embeds attach on first interaction rather than on page load

What ZuluLab did

ZuluLab lists Tad’s Construction among its delivered projects. The site is live and public — the most useful thing we can do is point you at it rather than describe it.

We are not publishing timelines, budgets, traffic figures or conversion numbers for this project. We have not asked the client for permission to share their business data, and we would rather show you the work than quote numbers you cannot check.
