What affects your quote

Four things drive how many hours a project takes: how much is custom versus configured, how many systems it has to integrate with, how much existing code or data has to be carried over, and how firm the requirements are at the start.

Hourly or fixed price? After the free analysis, we agree the scope and provide either an hourly estimate or a fixed-price quote, as appropriate. Work with a clearly bounded scope — a network installation after a site survey, for example — is usually quoted as a fixed price. Open-ended or evolving work is usually hourly.

What the rate covers. The hourly rates are for our own work — design, development, configuration, review and testing. Costs paid to third parties sit outside it: hosting, domain registration, software or plugin subscriptions, AI service usage, and any hardware a job needs. Which of these your project requires depends on what we build, so we identify them with you during the free analysis rather than assuming a standard set.

Who does the work. The same three developers you can read about on our about page are the people you deal with and the people doing the work.

On-site versus remote. Business network installation is physical work, delivered across greater Los Angeles; residential WiFi and home PC repair within approximately 40 miles of West Covina. Websites, custom software, mobile apps and AI automation are delivered remotely to clients in the US, Canada, Europe and the UK.

Deadline guarantee: Before work starts, we agree the deadline with you in writing. If we miss that deadline through our own fault, you don’t pay. To keep the deadline, you provide requirements and complete your testing and feedback on time.

What to send

So the analysis is specific rather than generic, include:

  • Your business goal — what should be better once this is done
  • Your existing website or system, if there is one
  • The changes or features you need
  • Your desired timeline

You receive a consultation and a scope estimate. It is not unlimited consulting, a comprehensive technical or security audit, or any implementation work.

Questions

Software development pricing FAQ

How much does a project cost?

We charge USD $30 to $100 per hour, depending on the type of work: $30/hr for maintenance, data processing and ongoing webmaster work (updates, content changes, monitoring); $100/hr for development, architecture and solution design, and collaborative project work. The applicable rate is agreed before any paid work begins.

Why is there a range rather than one price?

Because the work genuinely differs. Updating page content and designing a multi-system integration are not the same job and should not carry the same rate. Rather than publish one number that would be wrong for most enquiries, we charge by the type of work and confirm which rate applies after the free analysis.

What is included in the free analysis?

A free initial consultation and scope estimate, with no obligation to proceed. Send us your business goal, your existing website or system, the changes you need, and your desired timeline. We review it and recommend next steps. It is not unlimited consulting, a comprehensive technical or security audit, or any implementation work.

Do you charge hourly or a fixed price?

After the free analysis, we agree the scope and provide either an hourly estimate or a fixed-price quote, as appropriate. Work with a clearly bounded scope — a network installation after a site survey, for example — is usually quoted as a fixed price. Open-ended or evolving work is usually hourly.

Does AI-assisted development make it cheaper?

We use AI tools to accelerate coding, testing, and documentation, which helps reduce repetitive work. That is how we work rather than a discount we promise in advance, and we do not claim every project costs less or finishes faster as a result. Our team remains responsible for technical decisions, code review, testing, and delivery.

Do you work with clients outside Los Angeles?

Yes. Websites, custom software, mobile apps and AI automation are delivered remotely to clients in the US, Canada, Europe and the UK, across Eastern and Western time zones. On-site work — WiFi and network installation, cabling and rack builds — is physical, so we deliver that in the Los Angeles area.

What happens if you miss a deadline?

Before work starts, we agree the deadline with you in writing. If we miss that deadline through our own fault, you don’t pay. To keep the deadline, you provide requirements and complete your testing and feedback on time.
